The gross profit of Naturelgaz, the leader of the off-grid natural gas market, increased by 422 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 303.3 million TL. The company’s EBITDA increased by 638 percent to TL 258.9 million.
Operating in the off-grid natural gas market, Global Investment Holding A.Ş. subsidiary Naturelgaz announced its financial results for the first half of 2022.
In the first half of 2022, Naturelgaz’s sales revenues increased by 432 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 1,241.6 million TL. In the same period, the company’s sales volume increased by 30 percent to 115.8 million Sm3.
City Gas business line sales, whose share in the total sales volume increased gradually in 2021 and in the first quarter of 2022, continued its rapid growth in the second quarter. In the City Gas business line, Naturelgaz increased its sales volume by 74 percent to 41.8 million Sm3 in the first half of the year. rose. Another important contribution to the increase in total sales volume came from the Bulk CNG business. Bulk CNG sales volume increased by 21% to 69.4 million m3 in the first half of the year
Naturelgaz’s gross profit in the first half of 2022 increased by 422% to TL 303.3 million. In the same period, the Company’s profit before interest, depreciation, and tax (EBITDA) increased by 638% and reached TL 258.9 million. Gross profitability and EBITDA increased significantly as a result of the significant decrease in seasonality effect with increasing city gas sales, the effective management of costs and the improvement in gas margin due to the balanced customer portfolio.
Naturelgaz’s net profit before tax, which was 5.9 million TL in the same period of last year, reached 182.2 million TL in the first half of 2022.

Evaluating the financial and operational performance of the company in the first half of 2022, Naturelgaz General Manager Hasan Tahsin Turan said: “As Naturelgaz, we had a very good start to 2022, both operationally and financially. In the first half of 2022, we achieved an EBITDA of 258.9 million TL and a profit before tax of 182.2 million TL, and achieved a very significant growth. Our announced six-month financial results show that our operational and financial performance is in line with our expectations.”
Emphasizing that Naturelgaz has managed to protect itself from the negative effects of fluctuations in the global energy industry and geopolitical risks thanks to its healthy balance sheet structure and agile business model, Turan said, “We achieved strong results in the first half of the year. By spreading our success in the first six months of the year to the whole of 2022, we will continue to maintain and strengthen our leading position in the transported natural gas market.” he said.
