NATURELGAZ ENTERS THE SOUTH AFRICAN MARKET WITH AFROJOULE INVESTMENT. NET PROFIT INCREASED BY 88% IN 2025.
Naturelgaz, operating in the transported natural gas market, announced its financial results for 2025. The Company increased its total sales volume by 10.7% year-on-year to more than 359 million Sm³, while net profit rose by 88% to TRY 900.6 million.
Alongside its strong financial performance in 2025, Naturelgaz also took a significant step in its international growth strategy by acquiring shares in South Africa-based AfroJoule Energy Holdings (Pty) Ltd. With this strategic investment, the Company aims to expand its operations into South Africa.
Naturelgaz General Manager Hasan Tahsin Turan stated that 2025 was a year in which the Company focused on operational efficiency while implementing strategic initiatives supporting its transformation into an international company. Turan added that the contribution of international operations to the Company’s financial results is expected to become more visible from 2026 onwards. He also noted that electricity generation had commenced at the solar power plant in Bulanık, Muş, and emphasized that EBITDA reached TRY 1.702 billion, up 14% year-on-year, supported by strong operational performance.
Naturelgaz increased its sales volume by 10.7% to more than 359 million Sm³ in 2025, while net profit rose by 88% to TRY 900.6 million. EBITDA increased by 14% year-on-year to TRY 1.702 billion.
The Company also increased its gross profit to TRY 2.174 billion, while profit before tax rose by 94% year-on-year to more than TRY 1.470 billion.
Solar Power Plant Investment to Meet Energy Needs
Highlighting the investments completed in Türkiye during 2025, Hasan Tahsin Turan said: “We commenced electricity generation at our solar power plant in Bulanık, Muş. With an annual electricity generation capacity of 33 million kWh, the facility will primarily meet Naturelgaz’s operational energy requirements. Any surplus electricity generated will be supplied to the national grid in accordance with applicable regulations. This project will contribute not only to our sustainability objectives but also to Türkiye’s energy supply security. We also commissioned our CNG filling facility in Gaziantep. Our total investments throughout 2025 reached TRY 1.08 billion.”
