NATURELGAZ INCREASED EBITDA TO TRY 996 MILLION IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2026
Naturelgaz, operating in the transported natural gas market, announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The Company increased its sales volume to 134.6 million Sm³ and net profit to TRY 558.2 million. Maintaining its sustainable growth momentum, Naturelgaz reported EBITDA of TRY 996 million and operating profit of TRY 886 million during the period.
Naturelgaz, which reported EBITDA of TRY 620.1 million and net profit of TRY 351.4 million in the first quarter of 2025, recorded a 22.6% year-on-year increase in EBITDA and a 21.4% increase in net profit in the first quarter of 2026 on an inflation-adjusted basis.
As the city gas business accounted for a significant share of first-quarter sales, above-seasonal temperatures in February had a negative impact on overall sales volumes. Despite these conditions, the Company achieved a 2.6% year-on-year increase in sales volume compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
At its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held on March 26, 2026, the Company resolved to distribute a gross dividend of TRY 600 million to its shareholders, with payments commencing on May 6, 2026.
‘We Are Not Experiencing Any Problems in Our Supply Channels’
Evaluating the Company’s financial and operational performance in the first quarter of 2026, Hasan Tahsin Turan, General Manager of Naturelgaz, said: “Although the war in a region close to Türkiye has significantly affected global oil and natural gas supply, Türkiye has not experienced any supply disruptions. During a period in which rising prices across various cost items have increased operating expenses, we have continued to perform in line with our targets thanks to our disciplined approach to OPEX and effective cost-control practices. Despite temperatures remaining above seasonal averages in certain months, which can directly affect our sales volumes, we succeeded in increasing our sales volume, albeit moderately, compared with the previous year. I would like to thank all of my colleagues for their contributions to our Company’s strong financial results. I also hope that the dividend distribution approved at our Ordinary General Assembly Meeting will be beneficial to our investors.”
